Football Recap: Dalton Falls to Riverdale Country in First Game of Season

Dalton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Riverdale Country Falcons on Saturday, falling 35-6. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Riverdale Country's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Cohen led the charge by rushing for 65 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries. Jack Cohen was another key back, rushing for 53 yards and two TDs.

Dalton has already played their next match (against Hackley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverdale Country, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 26-0 win against Horace Mann on the 13th.
