Baseball Recap: Arapahoe Wins Going Away Against Eaglecrest

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cherry Creek, Arapahoe was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Eaglecrest Raptors 11-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the game before.

Aaron Stalter looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, Arapahoe let Gussie Maynard and Jackson Cadwallader run wild. Maynard went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Cadwallader went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Cadwallader a new career-high. Nate Brown was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Arapahoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eaglecrest only posted a batting average of .200.

Arapahoe's record now sits at 13-8. As for Eaglecrest, their record is now 10-10.

Arapahoe will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raptors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
