Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northridge). Their defense stepped up to hand the Whetstone Braves a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for Northridge, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Whetstone from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Macey Van Fossen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for five goals all by herself.

The win was the third in a row for Northridge, bringing their record up to 10-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those three contests. As for Whetstone, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8.

Northridge wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Johnstown-Monroe on the 8th. As for Whetstone, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against West on the 7th.
