Softball Recap: Clear Fork Comes Up Short

Shelby hit Clear Fork with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Colts fell 8-3 to the Whippets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Whippets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 on Tuesday.

Clear Fork saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Perry, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double. Another was Jada Brokaw, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Clear Fork and nudges their season record down to 11-5. As for Shelby, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

Clear Fork didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 victory against West Holmes on the 24th. As for Shelby, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-1 win against Bellevue on the 25th.
