Volleyball Recap: Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Academy of International Studies Dragons. While the Jets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dragons 25-18 in the first set.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 25-11, 25-17.

Academy of International Studies got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Fumnanya Ben-Ihieme out in front who had 14 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez, who had 39 digs and four aces.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Academy of International Studies, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy of International Studies, they will take on East Windsor at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
