Baseball Game Preview: Edmond Memorial Bulldogs vs. Blue Valley Northwest Huskies

The Edmond Memorial Bulldogs will challenge the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Edmond Memorial 3.6, Blue Valley Northwest 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Edmond Memorial is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Olathe West on Thursday. They fell just short of the Owls by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Blue Valley Northwest owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They put the hurt on Raymore-Peculiar with a sharp 7-0 victory.

Blue Valley Northwest is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Edmond Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 26-4.
