Basketball Recap: Tooele Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

There's no place like home for Tooele, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 58-49 win over the Murray Spartans on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-46 back in January.

Tooele's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Berkley Mclaws, who went 6 of 12 en route to 19 points and six boards. Those 19 points gave Mclaws a new career-high. Camila Lora was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Tooele is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Murray, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tooele will take on Hillcrest at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Murray, they will face off against Park City at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Murray is facing Park City at the right time seeing as Park City is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
