There's no place like home for Hilmar, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Ripon Christian Knights on Thursday as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by eight runs or more this season.

Marlin Kindberg tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, John Labno was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Cohen Felber was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hilmar pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ripon Christian, they moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
