Northeastern put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Knightstown Panthers 67-48. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Panthers are ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northeastern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Moore, who went 7 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Moore a new career-high. Tre Vanlandingham was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Northeastern smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Knightstown only pulled down three offensive rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Knightstown lost, don't look at Brant Ellis. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Mefford, who posted ten points.

Northeastern pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Knightstown, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Northeastern will take on Lapel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeastern is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season. As for Knightstown, they will challenge Winchester Community at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th.
