Aurora and Hastings are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Huskies will host the Tigers on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Aurora is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Seward just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Bluejays.
While Aurora had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 15-25, 25-20.

Aurora's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Trinity Uhrmacher, who had 21 digs and one assist, and Baya Chamness, who had four digs and four aces. Uhrmacher has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 18 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hailey Hoff, who had 36 assists and six digs.
Meanwhile, Hastings lost 3-0 to Gretna on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-5.
Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Hastings, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.
Aurora beat Hastings 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
