Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Extends Winning Streak to Four

LaFayette entered their tilt with Adairsville on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Ramblers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant LaFayette was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-3.

LaFayette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caydence Tinklepaugh, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Tinklepaugh a new career-high. Anabelle Penland also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: LaFayette was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 23 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

LaFayette's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Adairsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Looking ahead, LaFayette will take on Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adairsville, they will face off against Temple at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
