Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Owasso). They breezed past the Union Redhawks to the tune of 49-15 on Friday. The Rams pushed the score to 35-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the Redhawks had little chance of recovering from.
Owasso's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Hall, who rushed for 162 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hall's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 117 rushing yards dating back to last season. Drew Frankenfield was another key passer, throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes.
The victory was the third in a row for Owasso, bringing their record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Union, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Coming up, Owasso will take on Westmoore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
