Baseball Recap: Licking Comes Up Short

If Licking was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Waynesville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pacific Indians on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Licking's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Pacific, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Licking will challenge West Plains at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pacific, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Salem on the 10th.
