The Perry Central Commodores will head out on the road to take on the Orleans Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Perry Central came out on top against Crawford County on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Commodores never let the Wolfpack get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Commodores haven't had any issues with the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Owen Hubert made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Dylan Mullis was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Braydon Shearn, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Orleans lost 9-1 to West Washington on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Senators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Perry Central's record now sits at 6-2-1. As for Orleans, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Perry Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Orleans in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Commodores since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
