            Softball Recap: Lexington Tigers vs. Crockett County Cavaliers        
        
		
        
        
            Lexington has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Monday. They came up short against  the Crockett County Cavaliers, falling  12-5. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2024.
 Lexington saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kk Simko, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Crockett County, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will square off against Jackson North Side at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Jackson North Side has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.86  runs per game on average), something Lexington will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crockett County, they will take on Jackson South Side at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Crockett County is facing Jackson South Side at the right time seeing as Jackson South Side is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
