Volleyball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Addie Parks and Matty Paul + How To Watch

John Carroll Catholic lost against South Fork back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The loss put an end to the Rams' undefeated start to the season.

While John Carroll Catholic ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least nine points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 15-9.

John Carroll Catholic's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Matty Paul, who had 12 digs, and Addie Parks, who had ten digs and two aces.

South Fork found their leader in sophomore Camila Galarza, who had ten digs and one assist.

Having lost for the first time this season, John Carroll Catholic fell to 5-1. As for South Fork, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

John Carroll Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Tradition Prep on the 11th. As for South Fork, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Sebastian River on the 11th.
