Softball Recap: East Hall Vikings vs. West Hall Spartans

East Hall posted their closest victory since September 17th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the West Hall Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Amari Burce made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, she also posted a .750 OBP, which is the highestshe's posted in her last 12 matches. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run.

In other batting news, Kaylana Curry was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Kytle, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

East Hall lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for East Hall and bumps their season record up to 12-17. As for West Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-21.
