Sam Houston skates past Kaplan with ease

The Sam Houston Broncos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kaplan 72-28 on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Sam Houston as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Sam Houston to victory were Blaine Davey and Broc Vines. Davey scored 16 points, while Vines scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Davey's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Dylan Edwards was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Sam Houston's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Kaplan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Sam Houston will be home for the holidays to greet East Chambers at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. East Chambers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 577th in Texas, while Sam Houston is ranked 141st in Louisiana). Kaplan will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Delcambre at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Delcambre is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
