Baseball Recap: Madison Central Gets the Win

Madison Central won the last time they faced Lafayette and things went their way on Thursday too. The Jaguars came out on top against the Commodores by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Hayden Wilson tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Reed Sandberg was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dewayne Randall, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win got Madison Central back to even at 7-7. As for Lafayette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Madison Central will be playing at home against Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette, they will venture away from home to square off against New Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
