Softball Recap: North Daviess Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

North Daviess got themselves on the board against Eastern Greene on Wednesday, but Eastern Greene never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Thunderbirds. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

North Daviess has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Eastern Greene, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Daviess will head out to square off against Vincennes Lincoln at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Alices have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Eastern Greene, they are taking a road trip to face off against Loogootee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderbirds are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
