Basketball Recap: Bosque Takes Down New Mexico Military Institute in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Bosque had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the New Mexico Military Institute Colts 48-45. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly three points.

Bosque found their leader in sophomore Josiah Wilson, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 26 points and six steals. Oliver Tumolo was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

New Mexico Military Institute's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lorenzo Peral, who shot 63% from the field en route to 10 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Mihail Parada, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Bosque pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for New Mexico Military Institute, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Bosque didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-49 win against Tularosa on the 12th. New Mexico Military Institute does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
