            Baseball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Hornets vs. St. Joseph Central Flyers        
        
		
        
        
            Dawson-Bryant had lost five straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-13 to make it six. They came up short against  the St. Joseph Central Flyers, falling  12-1. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Flyers earlier this season, when they won  12-9.
As for St. Joseph Central,  the  victory  got them back to even at 6-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten  runs or more this season.
For St. Joseph Central's part,  Evan Aldridge was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Aldridge also  tossed  no  earned runs, which is notable because St. Joseph Central is 2-1 when he allows at  most  one  earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Aldridge was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Mason Weber, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Landon Rowe was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double.
 Coming up, Dawson-Bryant will square off against Minford at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for St. Joseph Central, they will face off against Symmes Valley at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
