Soccer Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Red Oak Hawks, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in February.

Ennis' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Red Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Ennis duke it out with the Midlothian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midlothian will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Ennis surely won't give up without a fight. As for Red Oak, they will head out to take on Corsicana at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsicana is on a four-game streak of home wins, Red Oak a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
