Volleyball Recap: El Dorado Starts Season with Victory Against Harmony Science Academy

El Dorado had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Harmony Science Academy 3-0 on Tuesday. The Aztecs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Harmony Science Academy, too.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-16.

Davanee Montelongo went supernova, getting 19 digs, nine kills, and five aces. Those nine kills gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hannah Garcia, who had 22 assists and five aces.

Looking ahead, El Dorado will challenge Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harmony Science Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Immanuel Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
