Volleyball Recap: Seneca East Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willard, Seneca East was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Vermilion Sailors with a sharp 3-0 win.

Seneca East never let Vermilion on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Vermilion lost, don't look at Haley Stepp. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and three aces. Stepp has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last three times she's played.

Seneca East's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Vermilion, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Seneca East will venture away from home to square off against Van Buren at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vermilion, they will square off against Rocky River at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
