Recap: Fountain Inn Fury vs. Powdersville Patriots
The Fountain Inn Fury lost against the Powdersville Patriots on January 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Fountain Inn had to suffer through a rough 79-48 loss at the hands of Powdersville. Fountain Inn has not had much luck with Powdersville recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Hayden Assemian, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds for Powdersville. The team also got some help courtesy of Von Burton, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Fountain Inn's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Powdersville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Fountain Inn will be playing at home against Belton-Honea Path at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Belton-Honea Path is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Powdersville, they will head out on the road to face off against Southside at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Powdersville is ranked 20th).
