Baseball Recap: D'Arbonne Woods Comes Up Short

D'Arbonne Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-2 to the Sterlington Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Sterlington this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-2 loss last Friday.

D'Arbonne Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Sterlington, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. D'Arbonne Woods will head out to face off against North Webster at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. North Webster has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.62 runs per game on average), something D'Arbonne Woods will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sterlington, they will face off against Franklin Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
