Apex Friendship needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Shelby Fuller. The Patriots put the hurt on the Willow Spring Storm with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday for which the team can thank Fuller, who had 17 digs and three aces. She has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Apex Friendship never let Willow Spring on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-11, 25-16.

Apex Friendship's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Willow Spring, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apex Friendship will welcome Felton Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Willow Spring, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jordan at 6:00 p.m.
