Baseball Recap: Hereford Extends Winning Streak to Four

It's playoff time, and Hereford had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Riverside Rangers 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Whitefaces sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kalub Ramirez spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hereford's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Diego Ortiz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Kayden Alonzo was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Hereford's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-11.

Hereford will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rangers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
