Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longmont Trojans. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Skyline saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Lanier, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Longmont, their record is now 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will welcome Mead at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Longmont, they will be playing at home against Silver Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raptors have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
