Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Classical Academy Knights vs. Tehachapi Warriors

The Trinity Classical Academy Knights will square off against the Tehachapi Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Tehachapi will be up against a hot Trinity Classical Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Trinity Classical Academy put the hurt on Valley Torah with a sharp 20-1 win on Tuesday. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Andrew Carlson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordan Lovelace, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaac Saroughian, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Trinity Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valley Torah didn't got any hits.

Meanwhile, everything went Tehachapi's way against West on Thursday as Tehachapi made off with a 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Trinity Classical Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tehachapi, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
