Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willow). They put the hurt on the Plaquemine Green Devils with a sharp 17-5 win on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The team relied heavily on Carter Ptak, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Willow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Willow now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Plaquemine, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-16.

Coming up, Willow will take on Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plaquemine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
