Baseball Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Valley Vikings

The Seneca Red Hawks will be playing at home against the Valley Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Seneca's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Valley has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Seneca put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over Central.

Meanwhile, Valley scored the most runs they've had all season to find success last Thursday. They skirted past Western 15-14. The victory was just what Valley needed coming off of a 17-2 loss in their prior contest.

Valley got a massive performance out of Tyler Priddy, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Priddy has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Odle, who scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
