Football Recap: Boles Takes a Loss

Boles made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rivercrest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hornets fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 31-28 on Friday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the loss, Boles still got an impressive performance from Elijah Granado, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Grayson Drennan was another key player, throwing for 176 yards and two touchdowns.

Boles' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Rivercrest, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Boles is set to take on their familiar foe Alba-Golden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rivercrest will challenge rival Como-Pickton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
