Pueblo County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pueblo Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Pueblo County didn't have quite enough to beat Cheyenne Mountain and fell 3-2. The Hornets have struggled against the Red-Tailed Hawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Pueblo County actually scored more points across those five sets (110-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 26-24, 19-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Pueblo Centennial came up short against Pueblo East on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11, 25-11.

Pueblo County will have to contain Sierra Montoya as she made an impact in Pueblo Centennial's last game. She had eight digs and four aces. Emily Brunner also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Pueblo County's record now sits at 13-5. As for Pueblo Centennial, their record is now 3-6.

Everything went Pueblo County's way against Pueblo Centennial in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Pueblo County made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
