Softball Recap: Colorado Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Colorado and Floydada squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Colorado had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Whirlwinds by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolves have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Aj Goodney was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Alexis Martinez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Colorado moved to 25-9-1 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. As for Floydada, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 31-7.
