Volleyball Recap: Carver Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Carver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lovett Lions. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-2.

Lovett can attribute much of their success to Paige Duffard, who had nine aces. Those nine aces gave Duffard a new career-high.

Carver's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lovett, they pushed their record up to 30-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Carver and Lovett will both be playing Hapeville Charter the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
