Volleyball Recap: Wheeling Takes a Loss

Wheeling lost against Palatine back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Pirates. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Wheeling was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22.

Wheeling's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Palatine, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wheeling will challenge rival Prospect at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Palatine is set to square off against their familiar foe Conant at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
