Recap: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Oakland Patriots
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Gallatin Green Wave, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were outmatched by Oakland on the road and fell 38-3. Gallatin's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Jackson Stroup threw for 126 yards on 13 of 25 attempts. Jay Ellis was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards. On the ground, Jaden Hoskins rushed for 43 yards.
Daune Morris was his usual excellent self, rushing for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picking up 102 receiving yards. Morris was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Gallatin's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Oakland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Gallatin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakland will head out on the road to face off against Mount Juliet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Juliet will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Oakland is ranked ninth).
