With a playoff win on the line, Ridgeview rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Banning Pilots 1-0. Winning may never get old, but the Wolf Pack sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row.

The result came thanks to Joel Gutierrez's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ridgeview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Bravo, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Ridgeview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

Ridgeview's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Banning, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-10.

As of now, neither Ridgeview nor the Pilots have any future games scheduled.
