Basketball Recap: Yavneh Academy Beats Lakehill Prep for Their Third Straight Win

Yavneh Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They snuck past the Lakehill Prep Warriors with a 46-41 win. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Brendy Eber was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted nine points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Sacher, who had ten points and five rebounds.

Yavneh Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Lakehill Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yavneh Academy will challenge Chisholm Trail Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chisholm Trail Academy is on a six-game streak of home wins, Yavneh Academy a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Lakehill Prep, they will square off against Lone Star North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
