Softball Game Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Rio Linda Knights

Woodland is 0-10 against Rio Linda since April of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Woodland is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Monday. They came up short against Dixon, falling 19-2.

Emma Rubio was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Sofia Sanchez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Rio Linda fell victim to Destiny Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Lions. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Rio Linda's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
