Softball Game Preview: Swenson Arts & Tech Lion vs. Science Leadership Academy

The Swenson Arts & Tech Lion are taking a road trip to square off against Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Swenson Arts & Tech is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Swenson Arts & Tech's offense. They came up short against Academy of the New Church on Thursday, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Science Leadership Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They skirted past Neumann-Goretti 13-11.

Ella Kieselowsky and Marisa Phan did most of the damage at the plate: Kieselowsky scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Phan scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Greer, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Science Leadership Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Science Leadership Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Swenson Arts & Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Swenson Arts & Tech might still be hurting after the 12-4 loss they got from Science Leadership Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Lion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
