Football Recap: Piner Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The Piner Prospectors lost 31-6 to the Rancho Cotate Cougars on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Prospectors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Cougars are ranked 243rd).

Piner's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rancho Cotate, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Piner didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 59-19 defeat against Analy on the 10th. As for Rancho Cotate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-0 win against Windsor on the 11th.
