Westfield and Fishers are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Shamrocks will challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westfield is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
On Tuesday, Westfield earned a 3-1 win over Hamilton Heights.
Westfield walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Westfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Blevins led the charge by getting seven digs and two aces. Blevins is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. Gabby Bassett was another key player, getting ten digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Westfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Fishers faced Yorktown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Fishers came up short against Yorktown, falling 3-0. Fishers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Fishers was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-17.
Fishers' loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 22-1.
Westfield took their victory against Fishers in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
