Soccer Recap: Moore Haven Takes a Loss

Moore Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Avon Park Red Devils, falling 6-2. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Terriers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in November of 2024.

Ryan Peet and Yanevi Jose-Matias scored both of Moore Haven's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Moore Haven's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Avon Park, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3-1.

Moore Haven wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against East Lee County on the 13th. Avon Park has also already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Sebring on the 10th.
