League recap: McDonald's hitting boosts Colorado Springs Christian

3A Tri-Peaks - West league recap: 3/27/13

Jarrett Mcdonald was on fire this week, as he led 3A Tri-Peaks - West with a .556 average, one home run and three RBIs. Colorado Springs Christian compiled a record of 0-3 in that time.

The league's top pitcher this week was Buena Vista's Koby Close. He retired eight batters this week.

The Demons boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

There were three hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. The group was paced by Jarrett McDonald, who collected five hits in nine at bats for a .556 average.

Morgan Chapman was an RBI machine on Friday, as he knocked in four runs during Brush's 14-10 win over the Lions. He went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.



Daniel Mcfarland led Salida to a win on March 21, as he notched 14 strikeouts to beat Custer County, 10-6.
