Soccer Game Preview: Independence vs. Evergreen Valley

The Independence 76ers will take on the Evergreen Valley Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Independence's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Independence is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Gilroy on Wednesday. Independence came up short against Gilroy, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Valley kept a clean sheet against San Jose on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0.

Kyle Han and Ryan Han scored both of Evergreen Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Evergreen Valley, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.
