Football Game Preview: Mogadore Wildcats vs. Pymatuning Valley Lakers

The Mogadore Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Pymatuning Valley Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mogadore will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Mogadore is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Cleveland Central Catholic with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 34-18. The Wildcats pushed the score to 27-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Ironmen cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Pymatuning Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 19-14 to Harding. While the Lakers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Skippers 7-0.

Pymatuning Valley's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Mogadore, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Mogadore took their victory against Pymatuning Valley in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 29-8 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
