Volleyball Recap: Carrollton Comes Up Short

Carrollton lost against Marlington back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Dukes. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Carrollton ultimately came up short, they really made Marlington work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Haley Thomas paced Carrollton's offense, picking up ten kills. Thomas got some help from Rhemee Beadnell and her 20 assists.

Carrollton's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Marlington, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Carrollton has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Alliance on the 28th. As for Marlington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against West Branch on the 28th.
